The best way to experience the thrill of driving a powerboat is to take part in one of our certified Royal Yachting Association courses here at Willen Lake. With fully trained instructors and using our 6 meter Rigid Inflatable boat, we will have you racing across the water in no time at all.

This two hour introduction to power boating is a purely on the water session, Enjoy the skill of the slower manoeuvres and the buzz of the high speed manoeuvres, all activities are under the close supervision of a fully qualified RYA instructor.

Covering low and high speed manoeuvring, boat safety and maintenance. this course combines the learning aspect with the thrill and excitement of driving powerboats. You should be confidently driving in no time. This course is usually held over 2 days, with the International Certificate of Competence included.

Designed for those who have completed their powerboat level two course and had significant experience driving, this course covers all the essentials for those who are doing safety cover at centres or clubs. Again, this is held over two days, on demand.

FULL DAY'S SOLENT POWERBOATING EXPERIENCE

Spend the morning learning to drive the powerboat in the sheltered waters around Southampton, head over to the needles for some high speed manoeuvring and then into Cowes for lunch. An amazing day out for anyone.
